Attached see scans of railway passes used by the Imperial Military Railways and also SAR&H.

The SAR "lifetime" passes are made of 9 ct gold and were issued to ministers of parliament to allow them free passage throughout the country.

Attached find a scan of two tokens that are thought to be associated with the Natal Government Railways.

In response to Adelbert Stigling and others - I have always presumed (perhaps incorrectly) that these Brassards were used in the time of S.A.R, so after the time of Central South African Railways, but before the time of SAR&H.

Does anyone have idea ...

Labourers/artisans etc. are typically issued with a number of brass tool checks that have a unique number punched into the token to identify each labourer/artisan.
