Are the 39 class new builds, or rebuilds?

Thanks

Rebulds into a new class. New rebuilds, if you get my drift!

Only 5 rebuilt from 34s. After all that expenditure they will be the only ones bulit. The new 39-200s are in the process of construction at Koeoespoort, these are jigsaw locos with parts and electronices sourced from everywhere.

Let's face it - the 39-200's are better lookers than the 39-000's!
