Steam Cranes sold for scrap

All the old steam cranes at Danskraal Depot have been sold for scrap. Scrapping reported to be underway.

Sad that we have now lost a large majority of these cranes for scrap.

Uncertain what fate awaits the other cranes stored at De Aar, Klerksdorp and Lydenberg.

Sandstone have purchased one of the Danskraal cranes, but the rest will go.

Which one has been saved? Is it a 36 tonner or 60 tonner?

580. But they may swap for a crane in better condition.
