Photo Trip around the Northern Cape

This last week, myself, Tony Attwell and Jean Dulez set off on a photo trip around the Northern Cape and a bit of the Free State to photograph trains. Will be posting more of the photos over the weeks. This is the Cape Town - Durban Train on the Kimberly Bloemfontein line.

Hi James - I love these pics, and intend videoing the 7Es in action in January. My question it this though. Can you tell me what time, and day the Cape Town-Durban train passes by where you were, and whether it visits Kimberley?

Any idea how many trains run over Kly-Bloem per day?

I am not sure on what days the train runs , but it usually departs De Aar at about 8:30 am and departs Kimberly at about 1:00 pm, arriving at bloem at about 3pm. From what we saw of the line, the line remains busy. In about 2 hours of photographing along the line we saw 4 trains, so at least 10+- trains a day.
