Inspecting 2409

A few days ago John Ashworth and another member of the Friends of the (Nairobi) Railway Museum, UK-based Geoff Warren, went to inspect the three steam engines stored in Shop 006 of the main railway works, as the museum had received reports that they had been vandalised. Thankfully we found that the theft was not as bad as we had feared. 3020 had lost pipework, 5918 had lost pipework, some gate valves from the oil burner system and the main steam pressure gauge, and 2409 was worst affected having lost both injectors and a lot of pipework.
