The 15 1850hp locos Cockerill-Ougrée Locomotives supplied to the Sudan (1200 Class) in 1961 used the same Baldwin 600 series 8 cylinder engine built (and further developed) by Cockerill-Ougrée in Belgium until the ‘80s as some of the Algerian diesels, but at a higher rating
