Sandstone Estates orchestrated and completed a loco move of gargantuan proportions
A total of 7 Main Line steam locomotives together with 2 steam cranes, 2 diesel locomotives and 3 loco water tankers were moved a distance of 550 kms from two old South African Railway depots which were threatened with vandalism. In the view of the Sandstone Heritage Trust they needed to be saved for posterity...
