for the founding of the Thai Railways. 12th August for the birthday of Her
Majesty the Queen Sirikit. 23 October for King Chulalongkorn Day and 5th
December on the Birthday of His Majesty the King Bhumibhol Adulyadej.
During the months of November and December, the class C56s run up North at
Kanchanaburi (River Kwae Festival). The other trips are to the UNESCO
Heritage site at Ayutthaya, some 80km's away.
