Northern Express

Northern Express awaits entry into Somerset West Station. The Yard Master is waiting at the points as the Metro set is busy shunting.
The train, aka Premium Express, arrives here at 06:24, 18:01 and 18:24 daily. In future crossings will take place at Somerset West in opposed to Firgrove.

It consists of 6 coaches. Two motorcoaches at either end and four normal coaches. At 17:55 until 17:58 it waits at the Point Indicator at Somerset West. Good chance to take plenty of photos and nobody minds! It runs through to Strand and returns at 18:21 running to Salt River where it is staged overnight.

Looking at this picture, metrorail have clearly put a new vinyl over the Premium express and changed the name to Northern express. This must mean that they have a Southern Express in mind.
