I went along to the Rand Society of Model Engineers in Florida to have a quick look and there were only 2 locos (as below) doing the rounds. Apparently the best time to visit here is the first Sunday of a month. The club area also incorporates the Arthur Prescott Stationary Engine Museum which has some amazing steam machinery (which I hope to post pics of one day). There is also a turntable, a variety of gauges available and lots of bridges and an impressive track layout.

This time around (4 April) there were a variety of engines, some are photographed below.

Nice Derek, any way you could find out the details of the chap (lady!?) who owns the 15F? I have one too (see pic posted last year) so always nice to be in touch with fellow owners...

Hi Andy,

Sadly the owner of the 15F was nowhere to be seen, his poor engine was also not working as it had dropped some bit or other and it is possible he was walking around the line looking for it. I know there were a lot of guys there busy with beer! If I do go down again I will do some enquiries for you.

Thanks Derek. I was wondering why the union link looked like it was in a funny position in your photo, must have been lost on the track. Luckily for him it should be easy to replace a pin or nut.
If you do see him one day, tell him his loco looks great, with some nice realistic detail, especially that steam reversing engine.

The owner of the 15F is lucky that it was the union link that came off. Breaking a radius rod would have done some sserious damage to the motion!
