5262 at Tighes Hill, 1972

This is 5262 on her last legs after 60+ years of service at Tighes Hill (signal box in background) bringing a 1,000 ton plus coal train in from Liverpool Colliery, Branxton. Clapped out but still doing the job, as only steam could do. Winter 1972.
