David Rodgers continues to send us some excellent pics up to his usual high standard.
In 1975 on his second day in South Africa he went straight to Panpoort and got this shot of the morning Komatipoort pass turning it on at the foot of the 1 in 50 gradient.
Can we get 2850 back in service by next year?

Very good and as I remember it. I fired this section quite a lot as a Witbank fireman on the LM and Komati passenger trains, and when at Capital Park.
I am sure CJanisch will post some of those pics here and we can see how the scene has been changed.
