Very few pictures of 3020, as she's been a star performer for the last year or so and there are plenty of photos already! Today she was upstaged by her bigger sister, 5918...

Very good. Guess it is costing Geoff plenty for all this- but what a drawcard!
John, please tell us what the roster and routes are.

Chris, 3020 will do a trip down the escarpment to Naivasha (west of Nairobi, in the Great Rift Valley), 5918 will revisit her old stamping grounds and travel east to Konza, and we'll have some shunting in a yard on the outskirts of Nairobi by both 5918 and 2409.

Footplate crew will be our two old drivers, Ben and James, working together as driver and fireman. The "steam team" of fitters and boilermakers will be very much in evidence, as will organisers Maurice Barasa and Francis Waweru. There'll be a few volunteers such as Isaac Murage (of RVR), David Gitundu, Kevin Patience (author of some excellent books on East African steam), Geoff Warren, Erik Forsman, and of course myself.
