News hot off the press is that 15F 3117 was lit up last night for examination by the government inspector. At 10am the boiler inspection was done, with Frik Boshoff in attendance, and 3117 was declared fit to run on the big railway!
All is falling into place now for her first train, scheduled for the 16th December.
3117 certified!

Nice news, and with a few problems still to sort out, one of them being a blow on the regulator valves, and small stuff, we could indeed see her running on the last Tshwane Xplorer of the year on 16Dec. Any readers keen on coming down to Capital Park for a polishing session?!
