John Middleton has kindly forwarded the latest update for the Railways of Southern African Guides.

He says....

Attached you will find the No. 4 Combined Update to Railways of Southern Africa - Locomotive Guide 2002. This incorporates (and therefore supercedes) the previous amendment lists 1,2 and 3.

Several people have asked if a new edition will be produced but although I would like to, the market for such a book is today relatively small which would make a new edition significantly more expensive due to a smaller print run.

Secondly, it is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain formal information from the Railway Companies who increasingly cite "corporate confidentiality" as a reason for withholding data.

Any further updates or corrections always appreciated.
