Indonesian 2-6-6-0 Malangbong July '73

This is a 2-6-6-0 of the Indonesian railways, at Malangbong on the Tasik malaya- Cibatu pick up [that also doubled as the school train what a place!] in 1973 . This is a smaller mallet type; being a 2-6-6-0 instead of a 2-8-8-0, this is the wheel arrangement of the Mocambique mallets; although these are dutch built [1924] whereas the Mocambique malletts were yank ALCO of 1912 but the general type is the same.
This particular mallett was one of the last in service in Indonesia,lasting until the mid 80s although some industrial 0-4-4-0T Malletts lasted on the palm oil estates in North Sumatra until the early 90s.
