A Rail Rover made by Santana.
Santana is a Spanish company licensed by Land Rover to produce Land Rovers - which they changed the bodies on slightly to give hem a Spanish flavour. Should maybe be posted in the European section, but I have left it here to keep all the Rail Rovers together.
Good looking?

Great looking Rail-Landie. The way the lights reflect off the other old vehicle in the background almost make it look as it it has fairy lights on it.
I posted a picture of a more conventional Santana a while back here.

I see it is left hand drive. Good vehicles these were.
Anyone got a short wheel base hard cab Series III they want to sell? Still in the market! Or a good Series II.

Re: UK - Santana Rail Rover
Are you sure about the yellow rail-mounted Landy being a Santana? It looks very much like a Minerva. These were a Belgian-built derivative of the early Series 1 80" wheelbase model, constructed under licence for the Belgian army in about 1952. The main difference from the British-built vehicles was the distinctive angled front wings and the fact that the bodywork was steel rather than aluminium. Further details are available at http://www.allisons.org/ll/4/Minerva/LandRover/.

The original photo caption said Santana. but this does not mean I am certain it is a Santana!
Actually from the references you gave it is clear without a doubt that it is a Minerva! I have changed the post head only to reflect this.
Well spotted!
