A fun picture of TTTE hauling a rather larger-than-usual load here

Methinks that Thomas is an imposter.... why dont I see any pistons and smoke and all those other bits and peices that make steam engines what they are??

Yep.. I am telling you, there is something odd about that Thomas. Notice the fixed glazed stare, and I cant see any happy smiling faces in those coaches (I can here the frenzied beep boop of text messaging).

Surely you're not suggesting that Thomas has been taking banned substances? In South Africa there's an alco-blow breathalyser for footplate crew - maybe we should start making the locomotive blow into it too?!

Performance enhancing substances... you never know, anything is possible in this day and age. Gone are the days of mere lumps of coal and lots of water.

I saw this 'loco' recently in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. There is no steam, but I believe it has a 'smoke generator'. Mostly empty space inside, but I did not get a chance for a good look. The children there were most excited about it. No sign of the fat controller though.
