Trains, Cowboys + Indians = a Wild West film scenario, but wrong Continent altogether . . .
Here are a few pictures that Liesel Hagan captured from a Cullinan bound train, on Sunday, 6th December 2009, on the single line section between Panpoort and Van der Merwe crossing points.
All that was needed, was that the Cowboys and Indians on horseback, to force the train to stop, and ransack the passengers on board of their change, for a worthwhile charity! Idea????

Gabor, perhaps you have forgotten that we did exactly that several years ago. On the section approaching the tar crossing at Montrose, on the Cullinan branch, the train was stopped by "Bandits" in their wild-west dress and collected money for charity - while at the same time, distributing sweeties to children. Passengers loved it.

One of the cowboys (who, by accounts, demonstrated being quite a good horseman) on this particular occasion was the irrepressible Keith Nortje, back in Cullinan from the wilds much further west!
