Indeed a tight curve! The 19D, driven by new driver Tony Attwell and stoked by Steve Smith, eases into the branch line from Rayton, as the train set heads out to Cullinan

Tony Attwell does a timeless job of hard greasing the locomotive, having just arrived at Cullinan.

"Hmm, nice people", but Gabor Kovacs and the TFR pilot have more important things on their minds than ogling passengers! Gabor, will soon take the train home from Cullinan on his first solo trip after passing out as driver.

Winter and the dull brown of everything makes the blackness of the 19D a favorable contrast. The setting changes in October, when the village of Cullinan is splendid in the purple hue of Jacarandas.

There has been a lot of sleeper replacement from steel to concrete on the section to Rayton. Much of the old disused track is being removed and makes a "pick up sticks" effect! Gabor Kovacs getting ready to depart as driver of this train to Pretoria.
