3117 - nuts!

Members can post FOTR related pictures of 15F 3117 here - screenshots or photographs - 800x600 pixels. Maximum size 130k. They will be pruned after 90 days. If you want to keep them for later, save them to your hard drive!

Photos and captions supplied by FOTR member Gabor Kovacs, who is cleaning up the smokebox nuts for 3117.

Just a few more to go! See the difference. The ones on the right, that was what they looked like after lying for 2 weeks in a mild vinegar acidic bath, just to remove the excess ingrain dirt and splashes of smokebox old graphite paint! With a bit of soft coaxing scouring block to remove the last of the ingrain dirt, and after about 20 minutes on the buff, and results are noticeable! Almost ready for fitting to 3117! The smokebox nut washers that fit under the nuts still need to be completed, but won't be that shiny as most of the washer/s will be hidden under the smokebox nut!
