There are reports and photos on social media that the Blue Train derailed while shunting in Pretoria on 17th January, but no details.

Salvokop Blue Train derailment under investigation

The derailment of two coaches of the Blue Train within the Salvokop Blue Train trainyard at the weekend was being investigated. “There were no passengers on the train and no fatalities or injuries were reported,” Transnet’s Sibu Majozi said in a statement on Monday. The Blue Train derailed in Germiston in November of last year. No passengers were on board.
