2650 - waiting for SD2

Post by John Ashworth »

Hauling a Tshwane Xplorer, 2650 waits at Pretoria North Station for an SD2 authority to pass signals at danger. Driver Frik (left) and pilot Marnie chat on the platform.

Can anybody spot the deliberate mistake on the headboard?

We'll give a few more people a chance and then I'll relieve you of your suspense, Malcolm! I'm not even sure how the headboard got there - we found it on the front of the engine when we booked on this morning so we just went with it.

"Deliberate" is meant to be ironic, incidentally!

Smile,
The headboard predates our "new" website. But you will get there via the advertised URL though!

There we are, Steve has revealed all - the headboard features our old address, http://www.friendsoftherail.co.za, rather than the new one, http://www.friendsoftherail.com

But as Steve says, the old one still redirects to the new one.

The dreaded headboard was still on the loco when this photo was taken by John Ashworth at Cullinan on 6th September 2008.

A good illustration of how quickly address, names can get out-of date.
