Sudan Railways locomotive rolled out
The first SDD1 mainline diesel locomotive for Sudan Railways Corp has been rolled out. The national operator awarded Chinese manufacturer CRRC Ziyang a 450m yuan contract for 27 locomotives on September 6 2020. The 1 067 mm gauge six-axle locomotives are suitable for both passenger and freight traffic, and are designed to withstand high temperatures and sandstorms...
