Worcester Diesel Depot

Post by Dylan Knott »

Took a trip to the Worcester Diesel Depot yesterday.

Very small depot with two sheds. Staff very friendly and easily allowed access to take photos. On shed stored on a siding were 25NC 3417, 25NC 3407, 15F 3156 and a converted cl 23 water tender. 3417 and 3156 are completely stripped, although 3156's tender is quite good. 3407's cab seemed complete, but evidence of piping cut off on exterior also noted injectors intact. 3407 could be made available to the local Kleinplasie Museum who already have 15F 2994 as cannot see anyone else acquiring it.

The shed only had class 33 diesels allocated to it and all in the old maroon livery complete with numberplates. A 6E1 was seen in the Infra Yard but that was about it. Unidentified 33 was shunting PX depot and another was under repair.
33-508 accident damaged and stripped of traction motors.
33-495, 33-501, 33-512 all parked undercover.
33-008 in yard.
Two vintage NV ex-Touwsrivier Breakdown Vans were also parked undercover.
