7E3 pulled the Algoa Train

Post by Andreas Umnus »

When I was in 1995 in South Africa, I travelled from PE to Durban by train.
The Algoa train was pulled by a 7E3 and another locomotive. Unfortunately I don't have the number of the 7E3 and I also have no photo of the other locomotive.
Here are the pictures of the 7E3.
Maybe is here someone who can tell me where I took this pictures.

Nice one Andreas. I have never seen a 7E3 pull a passenger. The second could be a 7E. Hard to see. Certainly not necessary.

The seond loco is definitely a 7E3, and I echo Stefan's comment - Class 7E3's on passenger? Very rare!
