- Waiting the shunt signal at Hercules, the 19D is ready for Cullinan. Fire is built up, boiler full, steam on the mark, just the 45 of the signal and the last FOTR Cullinan train for 2009 will head off

- The smokey trail outlines the route of the 19D as she works hard up the bank towards Rayton. The smoke trail shows that the loco is being fired harder on the one side of the firebox than the other.

- Driver Frik Boshoff blows down a boiler of water to keep the FOTR locomotive in good shape. The hard climb out of Cullinan is not a place to stall with a priming loco. This was the last Cullinan for the Year
