This loco with the filled in hand rails that look like smoke deflectors is in fact a 19D. There were some based here as well. You can see the regulator rod comes in the smokebox end on the fireman's side unlike the 19B which ran along the driver's side.

Last of the class. Number 3700, class 24, en route from its depot at Rosmead to the Lootsberg Pass as the daily pick up. At this time there were still class 19B working the line but gradually the class GMAM Garratts were taking over. 1970's

Apologies, class S2 were not at Rosmead and my mistake the loco is a 24 class. OOOPS!
