Work done on 3117 in the compound and on the tender. The vacuum pipes were reset on the tender and the buffer has been aligned and set for the correct height on the front of the loco.
Note white residue on buffer from non-destructive testing.
Loco has been moved from the inspection pit into a position where the boiler can be washed out ready for an internal exam.

Interesting that the tender has the number 2928 burnt onto it. No doubt evidence of tender switching durung the loco's life?
