Mount Washington Cog Railway

Post by Mike Haslam »

Turtle took a trip to the Mount Washington Cog Railway on August 6th 2011. Unfortunately diesel engines were currently running up and down, but there was one engine in steam, but unattended. Steam takes the first run of the day, but after that there is no steam schedule.

The pictures in the galleryshow the steam locomotive, the track and path up the mountain and one of the diesels with coach returning to the depot.

There were lots of passengers, but at $62 per head, I was not going to be one of them, It would be some serious shovelling to get the steam loco up to the top!
