Ken Livermore wrote:Dear All,
In recent months we have been working with the internationally famous steam photographer and author, Colin Garratt to identify 'redundant' British steam locomotives around the world that could be rescued and returned to the UK for preservation. More news of this effort will follow in our November Newsletter.
In the meantime, Colin has produced an exciting new book called 'Lost Leviathans' about the World's last working steam locomotives. This is fully illustrated with around 300 of Colin's wonderful colour photos of steam locomotives in 40 countries - and these of course include many famous North British products. A flyer is attached giving full details.
Colin has very generously agreed to donate 20% of the purchase price to NBLPG funds for pre-production copies ordered using the flyer so if you would like to own a copy of this fine new book, and help us to preserve British steam, please use the Order Form on the flyer and please, please add our initials in the payment section.
ie : I enclose payment of £____ (NBLPG)
This new book will make a fine addition to any railway collection and an excellent gift for Christmas or any other occasion, I am sure that you will find it of great interest.
Yours Sincerely,
Ken Livermore
